Current: developing the web site
mostemailedstories.com, a techology demonstration site
aggregating links to the “most emailed stories” based on RSS feeds and the extraction of data and links
from a number of online publications. Technologies used:
mySQL, Ruby on Rails, Ajax-HTML.
Developed an online
questionnaire-based employee evaluation system for an HR
consulting firm, replacing a cumbersome and costly manual, paper-and-ink system.
The online system included client (account) and
subscription management, generation of online questionnaires and
graphical reports based on user supplied and uploaded Excel files,
email notification to questionnaire respondents and administrators,
automatic generation of PDF documents from HTML. Technologies used:
PHP and mySQL, HTMLDOC, Linux.
Helped a large software company map over 800,000 customer sales records from subsidiaries to
international parent companies, based on DUNS and other
classification data. Technologies: extensive use of mySQL (designed and developed an analytical
database) and SQL reporting; approximate string matching using Ruby, and PHP-based web reporting.
Helped a marketing consulting firm
produce a web-based reporting system for use by their executive
clients, based on online consumer satisfaction survey data. Technologies used:
PHP, mySQL, Linux.
Helped an interactive
disease management company fulfill complex reporting
requirements based on tying together claims and clinical
database systems. Technologies used:
SQL, Perl, MS SQL Server, Windows.
